The distance from Addis Ababa to Omo Valley is about 1000 km and the journey by car usually takes about three days but what a rewarding place to visit and photograph! Tribal people here live like – and look like they have done for Millenia with very little impact from the outside world. Most of them have some livestock and do seasonal farming as well. They also hunt and collect food and medicine from the nature. I brought my trusted Hasselblad 503 camera and some black and white films as well as Kodak Portra films along with me to capture the essence of these fascinating people.
