Greenland

As the photographer in chief for Danish Symphony, I photographed Greenland as part of the project. Danish Symphony was a 67-projector multimedia show about Denmark. It was created for the Danish Pavilion at Expo 92 in Seville.

Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark, so it was an important part of the project. I travelled to Ammassalik in Eastern Greenland to photograph the region and its people.

I brought two Mamiya RZ67 cameras with several lenses. I also brought a Nikon camera system and plenty of film. The equipment was essential for documenting the journey and creating the photographs for the project.

It was an amazing experience. The landscape, people and atmosphere of Eastern Greenland made a lasting impression on me. I believe that feeling is reflected in the pictures I created there.
