ALEXANDER
At the age of 8 I started playing classical music on the violin and at the age of 10 I switched to the electric bass guitar to become part of one of the childrens rock groups (Børnerock) in Denmark. My uncle – the legendary danish actor and singer Jess Ingerslev – taught me some chords on the guitar and my grandfather who was a classical pianist, taught me enough on the piano to start composing.
As a young adult I played bass in a variety of bands ranging in genres from reggae to pop and funk. During my early career I worked as a professional photographer making audio-visual corporate presentations but from the age of 27 I decided to also pursue my musical ambitions to a higher degree. This propelled me to write my own songs and learn how to sing.
Later I was educated as a music teacher and I play acoustic- and electric guitar, fretted- and fretless bassguitar, some piano and a bit of drums. So far I also record- and produce my own music.
As as a musician I use my middle name Alexander as my artist name
