Mikkel Grabowski

Mikkel Grabowski was born in 1966 in Denmark and raised partly in Kenya. After high school he started his own company as a photographer.

In 1987 he was employed as photographer/producer by ST&O Studio in Copenhagen, specializing in audio-visual productions for corporate presentations for some of the biggest companies in Denmark like Novo, FLS Industries, Carlsberg and many more.

From 1990-1992 he was chief photographer on “Danish Symphony” – a 67-projector multimedia show for the Danish Pavillion at the World Fare in Seville 1992. Since then Mikkel Grabowski has worked as a freelance still photographer on a number of Danish movies. 

He is educated as a scriptwriter from The National Danish Film School and later as a teacher from N. Zahles Seminary. He also has a Master of Arts in African studies from University of Copenhagen, focusing on storytelling with film and photography and many years of travelling in Africa has resulted in this website: Africa-expert.com.

He is the photographer and author of a coffee table book Mølleåen and he has made six exhibitions in danish museums, galleries and cultural houses. He also has a permanent exhibition at Bagsværd Station.

Mikkels early childhood in Kenya invoked a sense for adventure which later on led him to work as a tour guide in Africa. Currently he is affiliated with Stjernegaard Rejser
