MØLLEÅEN

At the age of 12 Grabowski bought a professional Pentax camera for just 5 cent on a sale and growing up as a neighbour to Mølleåen, Mikkel spent his teenage years with his camera documenting the river, the lakes, the meadows, the surrounding forests not to forget the insects, birds and mammals. During the following 32 years he continued going back to this 30 km stretch of beautiful waterways and forests in order to make a thorough photographic documentation. In summer and fall 2009 I had two big outdoor exhibitions showing my pictures from Moelleaaen on the outside walls of Mosegaarden (Furesø Museer) and Farum Cultural House. Grabowski's book "Mølleåen" was released in November 2010.

The show consisted of an intricate puzzle made out of 30 individual pieces to form the full picture, projected onto seven huge screens with a total area of 225 m2. Informationsteknik was in charge of the technical achievements and architecturally, technically and artistically Jan Søndergards pavillon and the tailor made show inside it was state of the art and a true pioneer project for the time being.
